ABA Questions FDA on Sodium Reduction

ABA submitted comments and data to FDA in response to the agency’s request for information on various food sectors’ efforts to reduce sodium. ABA included its recently completed white paper, “Considerations for Reducing Sodium in the Baking Industry” and industry trend data that illustrated bakers’ efforts over the past 18 months. ABA also included scientific research citations that question the rationale for changes from the current policy.
