WASHINGTON, D.C.—The American Bakers Association is pleased to announce the addition of four new members to the Board of Directors.
Senior Vice President & General Manager, Fresh & Frozen Bakery Maureen Linder, of Pepperidge Farm, will replace long-time ABA Board Director Pat Callaghan who retires in July.
Erin Sharp joins the ABA Board from the Kroger Company, where she serves as the vice president of manufacturing, central region. Ms. Sharp replaces outgoing Director Mary Ellen Adcock, who transitioned out of the baking category when she was promoted at Kroger earlier this year.
John C. Campbell II joins the ABA Board as vice president of Chattanooga Bakery—a new company now represented at the board level.
Lastly, Dave Murphy, Mother Murphy’s Laboratories, has assumed the role of AIB Chairman. Dan Babin, Bimbo Bakeries, cycled off as his term as AIB Chairman concluded in March.
“ABA is of course disappointed to say goodbye to some exceptional voices on our Board of Directors. Pat, Mary Ellen, and Dan have been tremendous assets to our organization during their service,” said ABA President & CEO Robb MacKie. “I know the membership joins me in thanking them for their terrific contributions.”
“However, it is with great excitement that we welcome four new directors,” continued MacKie. “We look forward to welcoming them to the board and know they will be tremendous sources of insight and leadership in the years to come.”
The appointments are effective as of the board’s June 14 meeting.
The ABA Board of Directors is comprised of top leaders from across the baking industry who volunteer their time to develop consensus policies that improve the government environment and overall health of the baking industry. Robin Alton, president and CEO of Pan-o-Gold Baking, is serving as the board’s chairman through March 2014.
