Key leaders of the baking industry addressed a sold out crowd last night at ABA’s Executive Leadership Development Committee’s Leadership Forum during IBIE at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Mike McKee, McKee Foods Corp.; Paula Marshall, The Bama Companies; Miles Jones, Dawn Food Products; and Fred Penny, Bimbo Bakeries USA, served on the panel moderated by ELDC Co-Chairs Connie Vaughan, McKee Foods, and Pete Frederick, Milner Milling. Over 220 attendees turned out to hear the leaders’ views on core strengths needed by effective leaders, identifying and managing talent and the value of participating in ABA to build valuable networks.
Topics that highlighted the panel’s conversation was doing business overseas and managing multiple cultures when it comes to customers as well as employees, the importance of diversifying your workforce, mentorship and the impact changing consumer demographics will have on the industry.
