WASHINGTON, D.C. – “The baking industry supports the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) modest proposal to lower the corn-based ethanol mandate in the 2014 Standards for the Renewable Fuel Standard Program (RFS),” said Robb MacKie, President & CEO of the American Bakers Association (ABA). Mr. MacKie testified during EPA’s public hearing on the EPA proposed rule. EPA’s hearing scheduled 25 panels with a wide array of representation. The list included food producers, environmental, agriculture and economic policy groups, the livestock industry as well as Members of Congress.
