“It was terrific to have Rep. Black visit McKee Foods headquarters in Collegedale, Tennessee,” said Mike McKee, President, McKee Foods. “We had a productive discussion about food industry issues focusing on domestic sugar policy and corporate tax reform.”
Rep. Black (R-TN-2) was elected to Congress in 2010 and serves on the House Ways and Means and Budget Committees. She is a former nurse, small businesswoman and educator.
“The plant visitation program is an invaluable resource for ABA members because it provides them the opportunity to showcase their operations directly to policymakers and their staff,” said Kelly Knowles, ABA Senior Director Political Affairs. “Those policymakers make decisions every day that affect the baking industry and Members of Congress and their staff need to have a clear understanding of what it takes to run a bakery business and allied facility.”
