During the All Membership Meeting at the American Bakers Association (ABA) 2015 Convention last week, the ABA membership approved a revised slate of officers for the 2014-2016 ABA Board of Directors. Rich Scalise, Chairman and CEO of Hearthside Food Solutions, remains ABA Chairman; Fred Penny, President of Bimbo Bakeries USA, remains First Vice Chairman; Bradley K. Alexander, Executive Vice President and COO of Flowers Foods, serves as Second Vice Chairman; Erin Sharp, Group Vice President, Manufacturing of The Kroger Co., remains Treasurer; and Howard R. “Robin” Alton, III, President and CEO of Pan-O-Gold Baking Company, remains Immediate Past President.
The following individuals have been welcomed as new Directors for the Board:
- Peggy Lewis, Executive Vice President of Lewis Bakeries, Inc., replaces longtime Board member and Past Chairman R. Jack Lewis, Jr., President of Lewis Bakeries, Inc.
- Tom McCurry, Managing Director and COO of Cain Food Industries, Inc., joins the Board of Directors in his new post as ATBI President, replacing former ATBI President Rick McGrath, Partner of Lockton Companies.
- Audrey St. Onge, Regional CA Director for Safeway, Inc., replaces Chad Coester, VP Manufacturing Sales & Business Development for Safeway, Inc.
- John Yamin, CEO of ARYZTA joins the Board of Directors.
