ABA is pleased to announce that Jenny Scott, Senior Advisor in the Office of Food Safety with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN), and Dr. David Acheson, Founder and CEO of The Acheson Group, will speak during the 2015 Fall Policy Conference, taking place October 20-22, at the Marriott Marquis in Washington.
One of the first rules, Preventive Controls for Human Food, stemming from the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), was recently finalized by the Food and Drug Administration. Ms. Scott and Dr. Acheson will take a high level look at FSMA and how it changes the paradigm of food safety. They will also discuss FDA’s implementation strategy and take a deeper dive into the Preventive Control rule’s requirements.
“Bakers cannot afford to miss this opportunity to have an interactive dialogue with two renown experts in the food safety arena. Now is the time to prepare your company for implementation of the FDA Preventive Control regulations that become effective August 2016. Get the inside track on these impactful new regulations at the ABA FSMA Breakout Session,” said Lee Sanders, ABA Senior Vice President, Government Relations & Public Affairs.
