ABA IS THE VOICE OF THE BAKING INDUSTRY representing approximately 80% of the wholesale bakeries in the U.S. and their suppliers. ABA represents the interests of the wholesale baking industry before the United States Congress, the administration, federal agencies, state legislatures and international authorities. It tackles key issues facing the grain-based food industry and initiates key reforms to make positive impacts on the industry. Ultimately, our business is to keep you in business.
Through ABA, member baking and allied (supplier) companies are closely integrated and work together to achieve goals that benefit their mutual interests in the industry. ABA gives its members exposure to other companies in the industry. It provides several opportunities for networking and exchanging information and ideas through its numerous committee meetings and annual convention.
ABA has a multitude of committees that tackle the legislative and regulatory issues impacting the baking industry. Baking companies MUST stay on top of these issues or it could cost them deeply. ABA’s job is to communicate and serve as the liaison between government and industry. We encourage member companies to join and be involved in the committees to stay on top of issues and offer input. ABA’s goals are accomplished through the work of the committees and the ABA Board of Directors.
A professional staff and numerous resources are available to your company on a daily basis. In effect, ABA provides a comprehensive resource to the baking industry that can address most, if not all, sectors of the industry, operations and activities.
ABA is the voice of the baking industry – It needs industry support and participation if it is to continue to enhance the future vitality of the baking industry. By becoming a member of ABA, your participation will help support our efforts.
Baker Members – ABA Baker Membership is open to any wholesale baking company.
Allied Members – ABA Allied Members supply products or services to the baking industry. Your company name should be on the ABA Member list!
