2008 ABA Convention

March 30 - April 2 * Biltmore Arizona * Phoenix, Ariz.

With sessions such as “Connecting with Future Leaders of the Industry,” and “Connecting with Consumers on Wholesome Enriched Grains,” attendees had the opportunity to “get connected” with industry peers, leaders, friends, and customers and share ideas to develop solutions for the industry’s top pressing concerns. This year’s convention offered attendees an outstanding line up of speakers and timely discussions including ideas on ways to lead during times of change from a highly-decorated Army officer, how to provide greater value and a better shopping experience for customers from a top retailer, and thought-provoking insights into how the industry is perceived today and how to capture the opportunities of tomorrow from one of the leading voices on how the supermarket business works. Additionally, a commodity expert provided economic and commodity analyses to assist bakers in managing their commodity risks during the challenging times the industry is facing.

At the 2008 ABA Convention, there were many opportunities to get connected at all the fun receptions and social gatherings, not to mention the 2008 Paul Abenante PEC Golf Tournament which raised more than $30.000. If you couldn’t attend this year’s convention, be sure you don’t miss next year’s event taking place April 5-8, 2009, at the Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island, Fla. — you don’t want to miss out on the industry’s premier event — the ABA Convention!
