Q: What is American Bakers PAC?

A: American Bakers PAC was established to promote ABA member company involvement in the political process, to give American Bakers PAC members a forum to support candidates for U.S. Congress and the Executive branch, and elect officials who are supportive of the wholesale baking industry.

Q: Who is eligible to join?

A: According to Federal Election Commission (FEC) regulations, salaried personnel that are U.S. citizens, including shareholders, retirees and family members.

Q: How is American Bakers PAC money spent?

A: American Bakers PAC funds are used solely for the purpose of contributing directly to federal candidates. The PAC is bipartisan and supports candidates whose positions and decisions directly affect the baking industry. Contributions are based on the candidate’s support of the issues important to our industry; the candidate’s committee assignment; and the candidate’s voting record.

Q: How much should I contribute?

A: Contribution amounts are a personal decision and are strictly voluntary.
