Founded 18 years ago, the ELDC Public Policy Forum, formerly known as the Washington Seminar, has brought together executives in the baking industry and recognized leaders of government and business to discuss new ideas, trends, and the direction of American business.

The Executive Leadership Development Committee (ELDC) is dedicated to developing the future leadership of the wholesale baking industry and the American Bakers Association by bringing together executives in a forum which:

  • Informs participants on industry trends
  • Encourages active participation in public policy discussions, the political process and their impact on the wholesale baking industry
  • Educates participants on the role of the American Bakers Association and its activities
  • Develops personal leadership and management skills

Every fall ELDC holds a Public Policy Forum which includes a reception, a business program and an industry roundtable session. During ABA’s Annual Convention, ELDC holds a planning session to brainstorm and formulate ideas for the fall meeting. Industry executives at all levels are encouraged to participate in the ELDC. It is a great opportunity for baking and supply company executives to interact, network and learn about industry issues from each others’ different perspectives. If you would like to become involved in ELDC, please contact Kelly Knowles at 202-789-0300 or kknowles@americanbakers.org.
