The ABA Food Technical Regulatory Affairs Committee (FTRAC) aggressively and pro-actively addresses and responds to key issues impacting the baking industry. The Committee discusses appropriate strategies to deal with baking industry issues, develops consensus policy positions for the industry and offers important educational opportunities for FTRAC members. The Committee receives updates on a myriad of issues including food labeling, nutrition, food safety, food defense, wheat and flour quality research and issues of biotechnology.
