Before joining the American Bakers Association, Mr. Martin served as the Executive Director for the Utah Association of Mortgage Brokers (UAMB), overseeing all aspects of the association’s programming and legislative activities. Mr. Martin is also a founding member and current national president of the Brigham Young University Political Affairs Society, a university-sponsored alumni society serving those working in and with government.
Mr. Martin has previously worked for the CP80 Foundation as the Director of Political Affairs, organizing grassroots and fundraising efforts; Sego Strategies, LLC., a Salt Lake City based political affairs firm, serving as a political analyst and lobbyist for numerous public and private organizations; and has served as staff to the current Speaker of the Utah State Legislature.Cory and his wife Janna currently reside in Alexandria, VA, and have three young sons – Lucas (8), Gabriel (6) and McKay (2).
Mr. Martin is a graduate of the George Washington University School of Political Management, receiving a Masters in Legislative Affairs and received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
