Why are you excited to return to ABA?
I’m very excited to rejoin ABA because of the staff. I really enjoyed working with the ABA team during my internship last year and gained a lot of valuable industry insights from them. I’m also excited about the opportunities that naturally come with a longer working period.
I first became interested in ABA when I began searching for opportunities in the industry that were not directly linked to my family’s business (Klosterman Baking Company – an ABA member!). When my dad, Chip Klosterman, informed me of ABA, I thought it sounded like the perfect fit.
What are your career plans?
Though I am not certain of my future career path, I have not ruled out the possibility of staying in the industry. My family’s business provides me with a wonderful opportunity to stay in the industry, which would allow me to apply many of the skills that I learned at ABA.
What are your hobbies or interests?
I enjoy running and spending time with my friends and family.
What is the biggest difference between Washington and your hometown?
The biggest difference between DC and my hometown, Cincinnati, is the transportation. I’ve found that I have many more options when it comes to getting around DC.
What’s your favorite thing about Washington, DC?
My favorite thing about DC is that it has a small city feel but with the resources of a big city. In other words, I appreciate the lack of skyscraper buildings!
