ABA’s TechCon 2019 is fast approaching. The three-day conference for operations and manufacturing professionals solves today’s cookie and cracker manufacturing issues through an interactive exchange of ideas, best practices sharing, and a hands-on workshop.
The Power of Flour
The Hands-On Training Workshop is a highly interactive and collaborative educational session. This years Hands-On training will explore the Fundamentals of Flour Functionality. The session will begin with a comprehensive discussion on different types of flour followed by the opportunity to test various wheat flours on a simple cookie formula. Participants are broken out into groups to put the learning into action. Each lab group will focus on a key ingredient, measuring product attributes such as weight, width, height, pH, color and texture. Participants will follow baking procedures, then to compare results to the other groups and monitor the effects on the finished product.
A Session for Everyone
This session is for experienced and new professionals alike and ties directly into the Cookie and Cracker Manufacturing Course, a perfect avenue. In addition, those active in the Cookie & Cracker Manufacturing Correspondence Course who participate in this workshop will receive full credit for one workbook project.
Participants can immediately transfer the knowledge and experience to many industry professions, including research and development, production environment, and supply teams.
