ABA covers well over 50 regulatory and legislative issues. Through the professionals groups, ABA develops its positions on these issues. Each group is chaired by a baker member and led by an ABA staff liaison. Professionals group participation is the way to make the most of your membership.
Professionals groups are open to all ABA members. By joining a professional group, you will receive issue update alerts and meeting announcements. Active participation and conference attendance is encouraged, as the conferences are really a unique forum of specialized executives within the baking industry on a particular issue, like commodity procurement. ABA meetings allow members to connect with others in similar roles and to stay abreast of current regulations and legislation that could change business practices.
